Edinosa is licensed in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas and takes on projects nationwide. Good engineering is the same everywhere, but licensing, codes and site conditions change from state to state. Planning for them early keeps a project on schedule.

Contractor licensing

Licencias de contratista

  • California: contractors are licensed by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB)
  • Arizona: contractors are licensed by the Registrar of Contractors (ROC)
  • New Mexico: contractors are licensed by the Construction Industries Division (CID)
  • Texas: there is no statewide general-contractor license; cities register contractors and the state licenses trades such as electrical, plumbing and air conditioning
  • Other states: each project starts by confirming the license and registration requirements where it will be built

Building and fire codes

Códigos de construcción e incendio

Most states base their codes on the International Building Code (IBC) and International Fire Code (IFC), but each state and city adopts its own edition and amendments. California uses its own California Building Standards Code (Title 24). Confirm the edition that applies before design starts.

Seismic and wind design

Diseño sísmico y por viento

Seismic requirements are much higher across much of California than in Texas. They affect foundations, steel connections and especially storage racks, which must be designed and anchored for the site’s seismic loads. Wind design also varies by location.

Climate and schedule

Clima y programa

Summer heat in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas affects concrete placement and crew safety. We plan pours, work hours and heat-illness prevention around it.

Permits

Permisos

Permits come from the city or county with jurisdiction, and review times vary widely. Submitting complete engineering early is the best way to protect the schedule.

One team, wherever you build

Un solo equipo, donde construya

Wherever your project is, the same Edinosa engineers lead it, with one standard of work and one point of contact.
